Putumayo Kids, the youth culture arm of the amazing world music record label Putumayo, has an amazing series of kids' music CDs that have created, and then broken, the mold of world music for kids. We reviewed a few of their releases last year on Z Recommends, and their Animal Playground album made ZRecs' 2007 Gift Guide, but you could pretty much pick up any of them and thoroughly enjoy the music along with any children who were around. Many of them also come with great informational booklets or have free downloadable learning guides.
Putumayo Kids just released another album in this extremely popular series, this one called Hawaiian Playground, and we're giving it away, along with two other albums of your choice from the series, for today's PRIZEY giveaway.

I would love to have the reggae playground and world playground. I used to nanny for these kids and we would always sing and dance to world playground, so that is why I picked that one. I would pick the Sing Along and Reggae albums. The Sing Along has some of the songs we already sing, including Old MacDonald which would give me a nice break for being the one to lead. My husband and I also enjoy watching our daughter "dance with her head" when she listens to reggae which is why I chose the other.

The Hawaiian Playground CD is the one I want the most. But I'd also choose the Celtic Dreamland (because my husband watches Celtic Woman everytime they show it on PBS) and Fold Playground (because several of those songs are ones I already know and sing to my daughter). Thanks for the giveaway!
I would like Celtic Dreamland because we could all use some more peace and serenity in our lives. The other I would like would be Women of the World Acoustic. I love acoustic music and the fact the it honors women is great.
